Manchester United have confirmed Manchester United defender Alex Telles has agreed to have a season-long loan move to Sevilla. The first outfield Man United squad player to leave this summer is Alex Telles, whose contract expired at the end of June.
Sources claim that all of Telles’s wages will be covered by Sevilla without the obligation to buy.
The Brazil international has played for United since his transfer from FC Porto in 2020. Telles has made 50 appearances in two campaigns while competing with Luke Shaw for the left-back position.

Sevilla signed Anthony Martial on loan from United in January. Then Telles was pushed down the pecking order by the arrival of fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord and he played as an auxiliary centre-back and midfielder during the pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.
Telles’s contract with United will expire in 2024 and the club has the option of extending one more year. Now Telles’s loan move to Sevilla that finished fourth in La Liga last season, has been confirmed and Telles will be managed by former Spain coach Julen Lopetegui, who notably had Anthony Martial for a temporary spell earlier this year. Then he will start to prepare for a season in La Liga.
Before leaving Manchester United, Telles wrote in Twitter to thank everyone at Manchester United. He said, “To everyone at United: colleagues, staff, fans. I will be supporting and cheering you on all season. Thanks for the memories so far.”
